|Three COVID-19 patients are released from hospital on July 20
he three patients, all Vietnamese citizens, returned to Vietnam from Bangladesh on VJ5967 flight on July 3. Upon landing at Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh province, they were placed at a concentrated quarantine facility in Thanh Hoa province.
They were transferred to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases after being diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus on July 5.
The patients have tested negative for the virus and shown no signs of virus symptoms such as a fever, a cough or shortness of breath.
Following the discharge, they will be quarantined for another 14 days according to regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control to ensure they are completely virus free.
The hospital is now treating 18 other COVID-19 patients, of whom four have tested negative for the virus. They are all in stable health condition.
Vietnam has recorded a total of 383 coronavirus cases since the first infection was detected in late January. Of the figure, 360 people have fully recovered and have been released from hospital.
The country has gone through more than three months without new locally transmitted infections.
