The construction of auxiliary border markers started in June 2015 as required by the Vietnam – Cambodia Joint Committee on Land Border Demarcation and Marker Planting.
Earlier, the two sides agreed that additional 353 auxiliary border markers would be planted along the border line between Binh Phuoc and Cambodian provinces, of which Binh Phuoc was in charge of installing 173 markers.
The Cambodian side finished the construction of 180 markers in November 2018.
Binh Phuoc is one of the first Vietnamese localities to complete the auxiliary border marker planting along the border line with Cambodia.
Binh Phuoc borders Cambodia’s Kratie, Mondulkiri and Tabong Khmum provinces, with four border gates.
