The decision was signed by the Chairman of Loc Binh district’s People’s Committee.
As a result, high-risk areas now include the hamlets of Na Lung, Po La, Ban Man, and Tam Lip in Xuan Man commune while a buffer zone around the areas consists of the hamlets of Keo Mat, Na Ngan, Ban Tang (in Bang Khanh commune), and Po Lan (Dong Buc commune).
To prevent the further spread of the ASF epidemic, Loc Binh district’s People’s Committee has assigned a number of different agencies in the region to inspect pig farms.
They are also responsible with instructing households on how to cull infected pigs properly in order to curb the spread of ASF in Xuan Man commune.
The district’s People’s Committee has also directed the commune to take a number of drastic measures aimed at stamping out the epidemic.
These include installing signposts, setting up quarantine stations, prohibiting the slaughter and transport of pork and pork products through infected areas, and spraying disinfectants.
