|Vietnamese citizens landed at Van Don International Airport on May 13 from coronavirus-hit Russia
Tests were conducted at the Centers for Diseases Control of Thai Binh and Quang Ninh provinces and the results were confirmed by the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology on May 14.
The infected patients are among 169 Vietnamese citizens who were repatriated from Russia on May 13. The returnees were all transferred to military camps in Thai Binh, Quang Ninh and Hai Duong provinces for quarantine according to regulations.
Currently, the patients are receiving treatment at the General Hospitals of Thai Binh and Quang Ninh provinces. They are all in stable health condition.
The newly detected cases brought the total number of COVID-19 infections in Vietnam to 312.
Health authorities say the number is expected to rise in the near future as more Vietnamese citizens are returning to the homeland from coronavirus hit countries.
