The Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases stated that a further nine COVID-19 patients, including three foreigners, tested negative for the virus three times and have been showing no symptoms such as a fever, a cough, or shortness of breath.
Among the other discharged cases is a patient from Da Nang hospital, another from Bac Ninh General Hospital, one from the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Hospital, two from Binh Thuan General Hospital, and an additional two from Cu Chi Field Hospital.
At present, all of the cases are in stable health condition and will be put into quarantine to undergo strict surveillance for the following 14 days after being discharged from hospital.
Elsewhere, 158 health workers from Bach Mai Hospital, a COVID-19 hot spot in Hanoi, have been allowed to return home after completing their 20-day isolation period.
The medical workers had been put into concentrated isolation zones between March 19 and April 9 after it was discovered that the hospital’s nurses and patients had contracted the novel coronavirus.
With their return home, the workers will continue remain in isolation at their places of residence to undergo health monitoring in line with regulations set out by the Ministry of Health.
