At the meeting, PM Phuc thanked Prof. Klaus Schwab and the WEF Organising Committee for their close cooperation with and great support for Vietnam in successfully hosting the important event which, he said, has opened up a new chapter in the collaboration between the WEF and the country.
Regarding the outcome of Vietnam's biggest multilateral diplomatic event, Klaus Schwab said that the WEF ASEAN 2018 was successful in terms of content and organizational activities. As many as 90,000 people across the globe followed the forum thanks to Industry 4.0 technologies.
During the 60 discussions, interactions have been conducted effectively between startups and researchers. The success of the organisation work was also demonstrated through the suitable arrangement of activities along with good logistics work and ensured security.
By September 13 noon, about 7,800 pieces of news and articles on the WEF ASEAN 2018 had been posted on global official websites, including 3,000 articles on Vietnamese leaders’ activities, he said.
Besides, as many as 6.7 million people followed the event via Facebook and Twitter , making 13,000 comments. The network, LinkedIn alone, attracted close to 33,500 followers with numerous comments.
The number of news items and articles on the WEF event in Vietnam was four times higher than those of WEF meetings in other regional countries.
The WEF Executive Chairman thanked the Vietnamese Party and Government for their support and effective cooperation with the WEF to bring success to this event.
