Vietnam wants US, Cuba to maintain constructive dialogues

VOV.VN - Vietnam wants the US and Cuba to maintain constructive and cooperative dialogues, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said at a regular press conference in Hanoi on April 25.

Vietnam also expects both nations to seek measures for their differences and foster bilateral ties, thereby contributing to peace, stability and development in the region, Hang said in reply to reporters' queries about Vietnam’s comment on the US’s increasing of embargo on Cuba.

“Vietnam’s unwavering policy is strongly supporting the United Nations General Assembly’s resolutions asking the US to end policies and laws that impose economic, trade and financial embargo against Cuba, with the latest 2018 Resolution A/Res/73/8 with 189 approval votes,” the official said.
