Vietnam treasures ties with Germany

VOV.VN -The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) greatly values the Vietnam-Germany relationship, including ties between the two countries’ localities, said Head of Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan while receiving Minister-President of Germany’s Thuringia state Bodo Ramelow in Hanoi on April 9.

Quan highlighted his guest’s visit as a contribution to propel the substantial development of bilateral strategic partnership forward.

He glowingly spoke of Party ties between Vietnam and Germany over the past few years, including ties between the CPV and the Left Party of Germany.

Ramelow, in turn, expressed his desire to foster ties between the two nations, as well as between Thuringia state and Vietnamese localities.

He suggested both sides should further boost ties between political parties to lay the foundation for economic, trade, and investment ties and people-to-people exchange.

Both sides hoped that the visit by the Minister-President and more than 70 German businesses would open up plenty of business opportunities in the time ahead.

They agreed that there remains room for stronger bilateral ties, especially in labour and vocational training. Vietnamese nationals in Germany and Thuringia state in particular serve as a bridge for the promotion of bilateral ties bilateral in the time to come.
