|Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh (R) welcomes Lu Xinshe, Party Secretary of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
At the meeting, the Deputy PM applauded the positive developments of the Vietnam-China ties in recent times and asked Vietnamese localities and Guangxi to push ahead with stronger cooperation and implementation of efficient measures to increase practical cooperation in economics trade, transportation, agriculture, and tourism in a balanced and sustainable manner.
The two sides agreed to boost partnership in opening and upgrading border gates, thereby facilitating customs clearance and ensuring the effective implementation of three legal instruments on the Vietnam-China border.
They were also asked to assure the implementation of cooperation agreements on protecting and exploiting tourism resources within the Ban Gioc Waterfall vicinity between Vietnam and China, and on the travel of vessels in the free navigation area at the mouth of the Bac Luan River.
Both sides were tasked with ensuring border security and order towards building a Vietnam-China border of peace, stability, friendship, cooperation, and development.
The Vietnamese official urged Guangxi to boost the import of agro-forestry-fishery products and other goods of Vietnam’s strength while incentivizing major businesses in the autonomous region to invest in Vietnam.
In reply, Lu Xinshe showed his elation at the development of the China-Vietnam ties, as well as recent achievements in the partnership between Guangzi and Vietnamese localities.
He also showed his hope for the implementation of important common perceptions reached between senior leaders as well as signed agreements on friendship exchange enhancement with Vietnamese border provinces, thus contributing to the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the time to come.
