The two diplomats noted with satisfaction the positive development of Vietnam-Azerbaijan traditional friendship over recent years and expressed their desire to propel the bilateral comprehensive cooperation forward in the time ahead.
They applauded the close and fruit cooperation between the two foreign ministries over the past years, saying it has considerably contributed to the promotion of the bilateral ties.
The pair consented to maintain regular delegation exchange at all levels, especially amongst high-ranking officials, continuously revamp the legal framework for bilateral cooperation in a wide range of fields, especially in investment protection and encouragement, as well as education-training, and expand cooperation in such potential areas as oil and gas, culture, sports, and tourism.
They concurred to step up coordination at regional and international forums, particularly at the United Nations, to maintain peace, stability, and respect for international law.
The Azerbaijani diplomat showed his appreciation for Vietnam’s socio-economic development and international integration and congratulated the country on the successful hosting of the second DPRK-USA Summit in Hanoi in February 2019, thereby helping to raise Vietnam’s international profile.
For his part, Son said hopes that the non-aligned movement summit in Azerbaijan’s Baku this year would bring great success.
