Vice President concludes Laos visit

VOV.VN - Vietnamese Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh ended her official visit to Laos after departing the country’s Luang Prabang province on June 22.

At a meeting with the staff of the Vietnam Consulate General In Luang Prabang and overseas Vietnamese the same day, the Vietnamese Vice President highlighted the Party and State’s attention to the interests and the life of overseas Vietnamese, including those in Laos and Luang Prabang.

She urged them to uphold national unity and contribute to bilateral ties between Vietnam and Laos. The Vice President called on Vietnamese enterprises to increase investment in Laos.

To mark the occasion, Ms. Thinh presented gifts of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children to outstanding overseas Vietnamese children in Luang Prabang and northern Laos.

She also hailed the role of the Consulate General in promoting political ties with northern localities of Laos and supporting the Vietnamese community.

She also highly spoke of the patriotism and precious contributions of Vietnamese nationals in Laos to the two countries’ special friendship.
Thinh also called on Vietnamese businesses to increase investment and trade and actively partake in social activities, thereby contributing to socio-economic development in the northern region of Laos.

On this occasion, the Vice President presented gifts of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children to outstanding Vietnamese-Lao students in Luang Prabang and the northern region of Laos.
