Updates on Vietnamese citizens death in the Philippines

VOV.VN - Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang told the press on July 20 that after-life services for 2 crew members of the Royal 16 vessel killed by the Abu Sayyaf terrorist group have been completed.

The Vietnam Embassy in the Philippines has cooperated with relevant local agencies for the early home return of the body of another Vietnamese who died during attacks by the Philippines army against the Abu Sayyaf in Tolo (Sulu), Hang said.

“Once again, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to families of the victims and hope that they will soon overcome the sorrowful period,” the spokesperson said. 

Asked about two Vietnamese women who went missing in the UK, Hang said after receiving the news, the Foreign Ministry instructed the Embassy of Vietnam in the host country to contact with competent local agencies to clarify the information and prepare necessary citizen protection measures. 
The ministry will provide updates when getting new information, she added.
