Seniors leaders send sympathies to Indonesia

VOV.VN - On August 7, President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc extended their sympathies to Indonesian President Joko Widodo over the huge losses in human lives and property caused by the earthquakes on July 29 and August 5 in northeastern Lombok Utara in Nusa Tenggara Barat province.

The same day, National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan offered her sympathies to Speaker of the Indonesian People’s Representative Council Bambang Soesatyo.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also extended his sympathies to Indonesia’s Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.

A 7-magnitude earthquake rocked the tourist island of Lombok on August 5, leaving at least 105 dead, nearly 240 others seriously injured and more than 20,000 locals homeless.
