President Tran Dai Quang on November 22 in Hanoi met with a delegation of Lao citizens, who contributed to the revolution of Vietnam. They stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the Vietnamese soldiers in the struggles for national liberation in Vietnam.
The State leader said he expects the delegation to do more to foster the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
He extolled the Friendship Associations of both countries for their active response to the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Unity Year through exchanges between students and joint programs in culture, food, and tourism.
President Quang reiterated Vietnam’s tradition of paying debts of gratitude, adding that the country always remembers major, effective contribution by Lao Party, State, and people to Vietnam.
