The Vietnamese government leader told Xi Jinping that Vietnam treasures the strengthened political trust, constant consolidation and promotion of the traditional friendship between two countries.
He said he hopes that Vietnam and China will make further efforts to boost practical cooperation, control disputes at sea, abide by agreements and common perceptions reached by the two countries’ leaders, comprehensively and effectively implement the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC) and finalize a Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC).
Vietnam welcomes Chinese businesses to invest Vietnam and asked agencies from both sides to work to remove obstacles for sustainable development of bilateral economic and trade ties, PM Phuc said
Mr Xi said that China treasures win-win cooperation with Vietnam and suggested both sides to uphold the role of China-Vietnam Steering Committee on Cooperation, and combine the development strategies of the “One Belt, One Road” and “Two corridors, One Economic Belt” initiatives. The Chinese leader also called for the early establishment of border economic cooperative zones.
He promised to encourage competent Chinese companies to invest in Vietnam and to work closely with Vietnam to address problems in trade cooperation between the two countries.
"The Party, Government and people of China always place importance on developing relations with Vietnam while affirming his nation's readiness to work together with Vietnam to grasp the development trend of the bilateral ties, maintain visits and high-level meetings, and bolster pragmatic cooperation across fields as well as people-to-people exchanges.
"China will join hands with Vietnam to manage their differences and satisfactorily solve disputes, thus deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in a stable and sustainable manner," he told PM Phuc.
President Xi also highlighted Mr Phuc's visit as a great contribution to consolidating the friendly neighbourliness and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and China.
