It is necessary for Nghe An to raise competitiveness of its products and attract more investment in order to firmly advance on the path of integration, the President said.
Bordering Laos, Nghe An should help the neighbouring country in luring investment and training officials, he suggested.
The leader also underlined the need for the locality to be creative to ease pressure caused by the international process with a view to turning itself into a moderately developing province as desired by late President Ho Chi Minh.
While in Nghe An, President Truong Tan Sang paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien Relic Site and national hero Mai Thuc Loan in Nam Dan district.
He also paid homage to late Party General Secretary Le Hong Phong in Hung Nguyen district.
