On behalf of the Belarusian National Assembly, Mikhail Myasnikovich sent his deepest condolences to the Vietnamese people, and the bereaved family of President Tran Dai Quang over his sudden passing. He also conveyed sincere condolences from the Belarusian President to the Party, State and people of Vietnam.
On behalf of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, as well as the family of President Tran Dai Quang, NA Chairwoman Ngan extended heartfelt thanks to the leaders, the National Assembly and the people of Belarus for their sympathy for this huge loss, while describing this as great spiritual support for the State and people of Vietnam.
The Belarusian Chairman extolled the sound relationship between the two countries not only at high-levels of the Party, State and National Assembly, but also at the grassroots level.
Belarus is one of the five countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which signed a free trade agreement with Vietnam, thereby offering a wealth of opportunity for stronger trade cooperation between the two countries, Myasnikovich said while underlined the need to promote economic and trade links with plenty of prospects for further development.
Vietnam has exported to the Belarusian market such products as footwear, apparel, electronics and agricultural products, which are areas where Belarus desires to further promote in future, he added.
The EAEU- Vietnam Trade Agreement has got full approval from the legislative body of Belarus, therefore, parliamentary cooperation would help stimulate the two sides' economic growth, he said, hoping that suitable laws would be promulgated in harmony with each other's interests.
NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan emphasized the Vietnam National Assembly's readiness to cooperate with its Belarusian counterpart to create favorable conditions for the legal corridor between the two countries in the aim of boosting their businesses' investments.
She said she hopes the two sides would effectively implement the Vietnam- EAEU Free Trade Agreement in economic-trade fields, and full tap the advantages presented by the Agreement in order to expand economic, trade and investment cooperation.
The top Vietnamese legislator suggested strengthening the closer cooperation between the two sides at multilateral parliamentary forums and their exchange of experience in legislative activities, and enhancing the role of the groups of friendship parliamentarians in stepping cooperation between the two law-making bodies as well as Vietnam-Belarus relations.
