Working with provincial leaders on February 6, Vice President Doan said the northern province of Hung Yen needs to come up with breakthrough solutions and chose appropriate growth models with a focus on developing infrastructure and applying advanced technology to increase labour productivity and efficiency.
The province should also pay attention to improving the quality of its human resources, training qualified cadres and enhancing administrative reform, she noted.
In 2011, Hung Yen created and issued six programmes and eight projects to implement the 17th provincial Party Committee resolution and finalized its master plan for socio-economic development until 2020 and regional development until 2030.
In the past year, the provincial economy grew 11.58 percent with annual per capita income of more than VND24 million and budget revenue reaching VND4,200 billion.
The implementation of social welfare polices was more effective and over 2,000 newly built houses were provided for the poor.
Vice President Doan also asked Hung Yen to properly implement the fourth Party Central Committee resolution, reinforce solidarity among Party members through criticism and self-criticism, and deal with issues related to Party building and rectification.
