At a gathering in honour of the occasion on November 30 in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr Mang poignantly stated relations between the two nations have never been stronger.
The governments of Vietnam and Laos are engaged on a vast array of issues related to health, environment, energy, and education, and our cooperation has never been stronger, said Mr Mang.
Speaking to the hundreds gathered at the event jointly sponsored by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association, Mr Mang affirmed, the Vietnamese people will always stand side by side with their Lao friend and neighbour.
Lao Consul General Sanamoune in turn talked about the special traditional ties of solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, affirming he is committed to ensuring that it continue to strongly develop and flourish.
He thanked his Vietnam hosts for the country’s assistance during the past struggle for national independence and during the current national construction and development period.
He pledged on behalf of the Lao people to always strive to enhance the special traditional ties of friendship between the two countries.
