At a reception for Justin Wood, head of the Asia-Pacific region of the WEF in Hanoi on March 7, Deputy PM Hue praised the WEF for dispatching a delegation to Vietnam to study the country’s preparations for the event, which he said will help promote Vietnam's image to the world and give more opportunities to foreign partners to run investment in the country.

Hue lauded the WEF for successfully holding the WEF Annual Meeting 2018 in Davos, Switzerland in January.

The WEF official, in turn, affirmed to work hand in hand with Vietnam to organise the WEF on ASEAN, noting that it will offer chances to ASEAN and Vietnam in particular to attract investment and beef up business cooperation with its partners.

The WEF was established in 1971 and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.  It is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
