Cambodian PM to pay homage to late President Quang

VOV.VN - Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen will lead a senior delegation to Vietnam on September 26 to pay tribute to President Tran Dai Quang who passed away on September 21 in Hanoi, according to the Cambodian Foreign Ministry’s press release on September 25.

Hun Sen will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Affairs Samdech Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Assembly-Senate Relations and Inspection Men Sam An, and senior officials from the Royal Government of Cambodia.

Earlier on September 21, the Cambodian PM extended a letter of condolence to his Vietnamese counterpart, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, expressing great regret for the demise of President Tran Dai Quang.

National Assembly Chairman Samdech Heng Samrin also offered his condolences to Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. On September 24, King Norodom Sihamoni sent his sympathy to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. 

President of the Cambodian Senate Say Chhum and National Assembly Chairman Samdech Heng Samrin will also pay tribute to the late Vietnamese State leader at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Phnom Penh on September 26.
