Many athletes from India, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, China, Thailand and Singapore joined this year’s event which was succesfully completed within three hours.
To Quang Phan, Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi newspaper said that the event, now in its 40th year, is increasingly expanding in scale.This year it has attracted athletes from various agencies including the enthusiastic participation of embassies and international organisations in Hanoi.
The marathon this year aims to mark the 59th anniversary of Hanoi Liberation Day (October 10) and the 14th anniversary of Hanoi’s UNESCO City for Peace status.
