Vietnam exported US$390 million worth of fruits and vegetables in April, representing a month-on-month rise of 7.9%, but down 15.6% against the same period last year.
Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable exports to Thailand were US$50.51 million in the first quarter of 2020, shooting up 308.77% from the same period last year, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
Vietnam earned some US$3.3 billion from vegetable and fruit exports during January-October, up 15.5% from the same time last year, the Agro Processing Market Development Authority (AgroTrade) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has said.
Vietnam earned US$1.62 billion from exporting fruits and vegetables in the first five months of 2018, a year-on-year rise of 16.54%.
Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable exports will continue to enjoy good growth this year, according to the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetables Association (Vinafruit).
