As many as 93,720 foreign labourers have been working in Vietnam as of August 2020, according to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
Bilateral agreements for a new generation of social insurance policy have been negotiated to support foreign workers engaging in Vietnam’s social insurance scheme, said Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Social Security (VSS) Dao Viet Anh.
The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs said the quality of Vietnamese workers has been improved over recent years, meeting the requirements of regional labour markets.

Many industries in Vietnam, especially those relating to engineering, information technology, health care, textiles and footwear, are forecast to have a great demand for employees in the coming years.
