(VOV) - Foreign Ministry spokesperson Luong Thanh Nghi on January 14 condemned China’s recent activities in the East Sea, particularly the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes, saying they seriously violate Vietnam’s sovereignty, sovereign right and jurisdiction in the area.

(VOV) - Vietnam’s recent approval of the Sea Law is a normal and necessary act of a sovereign coastal nation, and as a signatory to the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

(VOV) - Over the past year, many opportunities for Middle East peace were missed due to the inflexibility of the parties involved.

(VOV) -The Da Nang Institute for Socio-economic Development (DISD) has unveiled the receiving of more valuable documents affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes. 

More than 60 photos highlighting Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa achipelagoes from the 15th century are on display at an exhibition which opened in Hoi An ancient city of central Quang Nam province on December 25.

(VOV) - A national seminar themed “Cooperation in the East Sea - History and Prospects” was held in the central city of Danang on December 12 to discuss Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes.
