The national 8-member wrestling team led by Le Ngoc Minh left Vietnam on April 2 for Almaty, Kazakhstan to attend the Asian Wrestling Championships.
Five wrestlers are women, including Dang Thi Van, Le Thi Trang, Nghiem Thi Giang, Luong Thi Quyen and Nguyen Thi Hai Yen.
Le Thi Trang is the first Vietnamese wrestler who won the gold medal at the 2004 championships.
The Asian wrestling championships will provide a good chance for Vietnamese wrestlers to learn experiences in preparation for the 15th ASIAD late this year.
