The Vietnam Food Association (Vietfood) and a representative for Indonesian rice importers reached an agreement to export 110,000 tonnes of Vietnamese rice to Indonesia, according to Vietfood.

The contract will be finished by January.

Rice exporters in the Mekong River Delta said the winter-spring rice crop in the region has begun to be harvested and rice prices remain high, standing at between VND2,450 - 2,500 per kilo.
