Where to enjoy weekend in HCM City
Ho Chi Minh City boasts an abundance of recreational venues where those embracing a special love for Vietnamese culture can take a glimpse into the lifestyle and food culture of local people.

CGV Aeon Tan Phu (30 Bo Bao Tan Thang Street, Tan Phu District)
On the occasion of weekend holidays, parents can take their kids to CGV Aeon Tan Phu on the third floor of Aeon Mall Tan Phu shopping center in the outlying district of Tan Phu to watch a family-themed animated movie “Happy Family” (or Gia dinh la tat ca in Vietnamese).
The 96-minute film directed by Holger Tappe, a German film director and producer, highlights the importance of family love and promises to bring smiles to young kids after stressful school hours.
The film was played at 5pm Saturday, September 23, in English with Vietnamese subtitles and voice-over.

HCMC Opera House (7 Lam Son Square, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1)
Meritorious Artists Ngo Thuy To Nhu and artists of the Arabesque dance troupe stage a dance ballet show titled “The Ballerina” directed by Nguyen Ngoc Anh at 8pm on September 23 and 24 at the City Opera House in downtown HCMC.
Tickets for the forthcoming festival are available at the Opera House, 7 Lam Son Square in District 1.
Admission costs VND350,000, VND700,000, VND900,000 and VND1.2 million.
