VITA Awards 2026 to honour values, promote growth of Vietnam’s tourism sector

The event will be organised by the Vietnam Tourism Association on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of Vietnam Tourism Day (July 9, 1960-2026), and is expected to contribute to digital transformation, green tourism and stronger competitiveness in Vietnam’s tourism sector.

The annual event is designed to acknowledge organisations and units that have made notable contributions to the sector, while fostering innovation, digital transformation and sustainable tourism development.

Held under the VITA Awards 2026-2030 scheme, this year’s awards cover a broad range of areas across the tourism ecosystem. Award categories extend beyond localities, destinations and tourism villages to include travel companies, accommodation providers, transport operators, tourism products and services, as well as digital transformation initiatives, green tourism development and digital communications.

According to the organizing board,  the award recipients have been recognised for outstanding achievements in tourism management and promotion, destination development, product creation, service quality improvement, as well as the application of innovation in tourism operations.

Apart from recognising achievements, VITA Awards 2026 also aims to encourage localities and businesses to continue improving products and services while advancing digital transformation and green tourism. The awards also highlight models focused on cultural preservation, environmental protection and community-based development linked to tourism.

Through the awards, the Vietnam Tourism Association expects to build a credible, objective and transparent evaluation system that serves as a benchmark for quality, brand value and social responsibility among tourism operators. The initiative is also expected to encourage businesses to continue innovating and strengthen competitiveness amid deeper international integration.

The selection of Ninh Binh as host for VITA Awards 2026 will help further promote the province’s destination image to domestic and international tourism communities.

According to the Vietnam Tourism Association, successfully hosting the awards in Ninh Bình will help showcase the province’s tourism potential and further reinforce its position as one of Vietnam’s leading tourism centres.
With the message “Honouring Values – Promoting Brands – Connecting Development,” VITA Awards 2026 serves as both an event recognising outstanding contributors to Vietnam’s tourism sector and a platform connecting management agencies, localities, businesses, and domestic and international partners.

Through the event, participating parties will have opportunities to share experiences, promote effective development models and foster cooperation to improve service quality and build Vietnam’s tourism brand.

Each award recognises outstanding contributions by honourees while also inspiring the business community and localities to continue innovating, improve service quality, and promote Vietnam’s image as a safe, friendly, attractive and culturally rich destination to international friends.
