Accordingly, along with the traditional 4-bed and 6-bed cabins, each of the new overnight carriages now comes with a couple of VIP 2-bed cabins. The VIP cabins have larger and more comfy beds and passengers that choose the service will be able to enjoy free beverages and meals.

The carriages were built using high-quality materials and advanced technology to ensure that they are more stable, and sound and fire-proof, with their waste treatment system meeting hygienic standards.

The new carriages will be part of the five-star SE1 and SE2 trains operating on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City Da Nang route.

The VNR also said that train ticket prices will be reduced by 8% on routes from Hanoi to central localities such as Vinh, Dong Hoi, and Da Nang from now to July 31.

In addition, the reduction of train ticket prices, from 8% to 13% depending on the route, began on Thursday and will continue from August 1-15.
