Vietnam’s first luxury travel firm earns sustainable tourism certification

VOV.VN - Lux Travel DMC, a key member of LuxGroup specializing in luxury travel services with heritage cruises under the Lux Cruises brand, has been honored with the Travelife Certified Sustainability Award 2025.

It is the first luxury travel agency in Vietnam and among the top 500 global travel operators to receive this prestigious certification.

Dr. Pham Ha, founder and CEO of Lux Travel DMC and LuxGroup, stated that since 2015, the company has been committed to sustainable development, progressing from Travelife Engaged to Travelife Partner in 2023, and now officially achieving Travelife Certified in 2025, marking a decade of dedication to responsible tourism.

"Sustainability has always been a core value of Lux Travel DMC since its inception 20 years ago. We believe that the future of luxury tourism must be aligned with sustainable development," he emphasized.

With the Travelife Certified certification, Lux Travel DMC reaffirms its pioneering role in sustainable luxury travel, focusing on expanding green travel initiatives, reducing waste, supporting local communities, and promoting responsible tourism.

The awards ceremony will take place at ITB Berlin 2025, the world's largest travel fair, from March 4 to March 6.

Travelife Certified is the highest level of certification for travel agencies committed to sustainable practices, requiring compliance with nearly 250 strict criteria on environmental protection, business ethics, human rights, and responsible partnerships.

The certification aligns with international standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 26000 on social responsibility and is recognized by the UN Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
