Vietnam tourism: La Chi ethnic group

(VOV) - The La Chi economy is grounded in growing wet rice in terraced fields in addition to weaving and indigo dyeing.

The La Chi ethnic people in Ha Giang Province have a population of roughly 10,765. They live on the mountain, which is 2,000 metres above sea level.

The women usually wear a four-panelled dress with a belt, a bra, and a long turban, along with a pair of trousers or a skirt.

Men wear five-panelled shirts that fall below their knees (nowadays these shirts are shorter), wide trousers, and head turbans.

They live a sedentary life that revolves around traditional village life.

Adults teach children how to weave.

La Chi girl often wears traditional cloth hat to school to fight against in winter.
