Vietnam attracts nearly 7 million foreign visitors
(VOV) -Despite facing a lot of difficulties Vietnam has received more than 6.8 million foreign visitors in 2012, up 14 percent over 2011.
The highest growth was seen in the number of visitors from Russia (71.5 percent) followed by Finland (43 percent), the Republic of Korea (RoK) (30 percent), Malaysia (28 percent), Laos (27 percent), Thailand (24 percent) and Japan (20 percent).
Those coming from other countries continued dropping, by 3.6 percent from Spain, 6.4 percent from Germany, 13.5 percent from Belgium and 17 percent from Hong Koing.
The number of visitors to Vietnam in 2012 for travel was up 14 percent, for business (16 percent), for visiting their relatives (14 percent) and for other purposes (2 percent).
