Vietnam Airlines Group sells two million tickets for Tet holiday

VOV.VN - The Vietnam Airlines Group, consisting of Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and VASCO, will offer approximately two million tickets on all domestic flights during the upcoming 2022 Lunar New Year holiday, known locally as Tet, to meet increasing travel demand.

Passengers will be able to purchase tickets on sale from December 22 to February 12, 2022, for journeys both before and after Tet, which falls on February 1, through the Vietnam Airlines Group’ website, mobile phone app, and ticket offices nationwide.

The group will also prioritise increasing flights on routes that have high travel demand, such as Ha Noi to Ho Chi Minh City/Da Nang/Nha Trang/ Da Lat/Phu Quoc, and Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang/Hai Phong/Thanh Hoa/Vinh/Dong Hoi/Hue/Chu Lai/Quy Nhon/Phu Quoc/Nha Trang/Con Dao.

These routes typically attract a large number of passengers who are returning to their hometown for family reunion or just travel every Tet.

Overall, there will be around 10,000 to 11,000 flights between January 16 and February 15, 2022. Each promotional ticket will cost roughly VND643,000 per flight, including taxes and fees on domestic routes.

The group said passengers should book tickets early ahead of the holiday period. To ensure public health on flight routes, COVID-19 prevention and control measures will continue to be applied.
