Vietjet wins three honours at Korea Consumer Awards 2026
VOV.VN - Vietnamese low-cost airline Vietjet has received three honours at the Korea Consumer Awards (KCA) 2026, including the Best Hybrid Airline award, marking its second consecutive year of recognition at the annual event.
At this year's awards, Vietjet was also recognised for Best Inflight Food Experience and received the Excellence Service Award.
The Korea Consumer Awards, organised annually by leading Korean media outlet DongA Ilbo, recognise brands favoured by Korean consumers based on customer surveys and evaluations by an expert panel.
According to organiser, Vietjet was the only foreign airline to receive awards in two consecutive years and was among 39 brands recognised by Korean consumers in 2026.
Vietjet launched its first services to the Republic of Korea in 2014 and has since carried more than 15 million passengers between the two countries.
The airline currently operates 11 nonstop routes linking Seoul (Incheon) and Busan with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hai Phong and Phu Quoc, supporting tourism, trade, investment and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
Beginning in October, Vietjet plans to launch additional routes to Europe, further expanding travel options across its international network.
In addition to expanding its route network and modern fleet, Vietjet has invested in the onboard experience by offering hot meals featuring Vietnamese and international cuisine, as well as cultural and entertainment activities on selected flights during special occasions.
According to the airline, digital transformation and sustainable development remain key priorities in its long-term strategy to enhance the passenger experience and support the aviation industry's future growth.
Before receiving this year's honours, Vietjet was named Trusted Airline at the Korea Consumer Awards 2025 and received awards including Most Loved Brand by Korean Consumers and Best Brand for Customers in Korea in 2023.
The airline has also received recognition from international organisations, including Skytrax, World Business Outlook and AirlineRatings.
