VietJet Air named CAPA Asia Pacific Low Cost Airline of the Year
VOV.VN - Domestic low-cost carrier VietJet Air received the award for the Asia Pacific Low Cost Airline of the Year from the Centre for Aviation (CAPA) during CAPA’s 16th annual Asia Pacific Aviation Awards for Excellence which took place in Singapore on November 14-15.
The CAPA award is given annually to the globe’s leading organisations in the aviation world and represents a great honour for the airline as the pride of the country’s aviation industry.
Peter Harbison, Executive Chairman of CAPA, commented that VietJet have continued to break the stereotypes that surround traditional low-cost airlines.
This can be attributed to its solid financial background coupled with an operational plan that aims to pose a challenge to the Asia-Pacific region’s major carriers over the course of the coming decades.
Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, CEO of VietJet Air, emphasised that the airline's mission remains to make a breakthrough in terms of aviation services, whilst also providing passengers with low fares, a friendly service, comfort, and new-generation aircraft that can serve approximately 100 million customers annually.
Ms Thao hopes these things can be achieved alongside bringing positive values to partners and the wider aviation community.
Currently, the airline operates over 400 flights daily and serves a flight network of nearly 100 million customers worldwide, covering destinations both domestically and internationally.
