Vietjet Air launches Da Nang-Tokyo air route
VOV.VN - Low-cost carrier VietJet Air officially launched their fifth international route connecting Vietnam with Japan on the morning of October 31, with flights between the coastal city of Da Nang and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport.
Flights will depart from Da Nang at 6:10pm before arriving in Tokyo at 1am the following day. Return flights will then depart from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport at 2:30am and arrive in Da Nang at 6:40am.
VietJet Air currently operates four other air routes between the nation and Japan, including from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Tokyo’s Nairita Airport, along with an air route connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Osaka’s Kansai Airport.
Along with the current available routes between the two countries, this latest route between Tokyo and Da Nang will connect Japan to destinations throughout the nation’s central region, including Da Nang, Hoi An, the ancient capital of Hue, and Quang Binh.
Moreover, tourists and people from the centre of Vietnam will now be able to enjoy easier access to Japan and other countries regionally without having to take connecting flights.
During the first nine months of the year, Da Nang welcomed 5.1 million visitors, including 1.6 million foreign tourists. This figure represents an annual increase of 20 per cent.
During the reviewed period, six new domestic routes came into operation along with five new international routes. As of September 2019, there have been 39 international routes to Da Nang with a frequency of 466 flights per week.
