Taiwan’s tourism promoted in Hanoi

The tourism potential of China’s Taiwan was introduced at a tourism promotion programme in Hanoi on April 2.

Participants were briefed on Taiwan’s tourist attractions such as Ali mountain (Alishan), Sun Moon lake, Orchid Island (Lanyu) and National Palace Museum, together with its culture and cuisine.

Information about incentives on tour prices and visas for Vietnamese tourists was provided as well.

The programme was held by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and Taiwan’s Tourism Bureau.

Recently, the bureau also worked with the Taipei Economic and Cultural office in Vietnam to publish the book “The beauty of Taiwan” to give readers an insight into Taiwan.

The number of Vietnamese tourists to Taiwan enjoyed impressive growth of nearly 95 percent in 2017.
