VOV.VN - Four foreign airlines in addition to domestic carriers Vietnam Airlines and VietJet Air, have been granted permission to resume flights both in and out of the country, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV).
The decision comes following the CAAV submitting a report to the Ministry of Transport regarding the deployment of flight schedules and requirements for airlines that transport passengers to the nation.
According to plans being implemented by national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and low-cost airline VietJet Air, there will be a total of four flights that land in Hanoi on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, in addition to five flights that touch down in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
The CAAV also sent an official letter to four foreign aviation partners from China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Taiwan on September 11 in order to unveil their plans to reopen flights between Vietnam and other countries.
