FITVEN 2025 opens new opportunities for Vietnam-Latin America tourism cooperation
Vietnam’s active participation in the 18th International Tourism Fair of Venezuela (FITVEN 2025) has opened up new opportunities for cooperation between Vietnamese travel firms and partners in Venezuela in particular, and Latin America at large, helping foster two-way tourism exchanges between Vietnam and the region.
FITVEN 2025 taking place from November 27 to December 1 in the coastal city of Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state, brought together 3,000 Venezuelan tourism businesses and travel companies from 35 countries and territories, including seven from Vietnam.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My said that Vietnam’s presence at FITVEN reflects the traditional friendship between the two countries and creates opportunities to establish new partnerships and build a long-term bridge for bilateral tourism cooperation.
He said Vietnamese travel firms brought to FITVEN a spirit of partnership and a desire to expand market access, contributing to stronger people-to-people exchanges and mutual understanding between Vietnam, Venezuela, and other participating nations.
During a meeting with the Vietnamese delegation, Venezuelan Minister of Tourism Leticia Gómez highly valued the decision of Vietnamese travel businesses to attend FITVEN at this time to explore the local market, meet partners, and identify areas for collaboration.
She emphasised that this demonstrates the trust and goodwill between the two countries. The minister expressed her hope that Vietnamese companies will become an important bridge bringing tourists to and from Venezuela and Latin America. The Venezuelan Government, she affirmed, stands ready to facilitate cooperation activities, tour development, professional training, and the sharing of sustainable tourism practices.
Cao Hoai Vi, Director of Migola Travel, commended the organisation of the event, noting that despite current challenges, Venezuela successfully hosted a well-structured and safe fair for international participants. He said FITVEN offers Vietnamese firms direct access to local partners, transport and accommodation providers, and tourism authorities, while also allowing them to gain deeper insights into the culture, cuisine, and daily life of Venezuela and the wider Latin American region.
