Da Nang, Vietnam Airlines forge five-year comprehensive partnership
VOV.VN - The central city of Da Nang and Vietnam Airlines have signed a comprehensive cooperation document for 2026-2030, focusing on expanding domestic and international air connectivity, promoting tourism, attracting investment and enhancing the city's global profile.
Under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed on July 10, the two sides will cooperate to study the launch of new domestic and international air routes while improving the efficiency of existing services to better connect Da Nang with key markets.
The partnership also covers joint promotion of the city's tourism, investment and cultural identity through Vietnam Airlines' communication platforms and international network.
Priority will be given to developing tourism products linked to the airline’s route network, particularly high-value segments such as MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), luxury resorts, golf tourism, cultural experiences and culinary travel.
The two sides also agreed to promote Da Nang's cultural heritage, local cuisine, (One Commune One Product) items and investment opportunities, alongside strengthening cooperation in trade promotion and international engagement.
A key feature of the MoU is the establishment of a more practical coordination mechanism, including annual action plans and greater sharing of market information and data to improve the effectiveness of joint programmes.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Nguyen Manh Hung described aviation as one of the city's key growth drivers, particularly for tourism, investment, trade and international integration.
Hung said expanding cooperation with Vietnam Airlines demonstrates the city's determination to strengthen connectivity, broaden market access, enhance its competitiveness as a destination, and achieve its development goals in the new period.
Dang Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Airlines, affirmed that the national carrier would continue working closely with Da Nang to expand its route network, improve service quality and promote the city in key international markets.
He said Vietnam Airlines would also coordinate promotional programmes to help position Da Nang as an increasingly attractive destination for regional and global travellers.
Vietnam Airlines launches Hanoi-Amsterdam air route
VOV.VN - The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines on June 16 launched its first direct flight connecting Hanoi and Amsterdam, marking the carrier’s first-ever air route to the Netherlands.
