VOV.VN - A broad array of attractive and large-scale cultural and festivals are scheduled to be held in the centra city of Da Nang from June to August in an attempt to reboot the local tourism sector after two years of suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This information was unveiled at a press conference hosted by the Da Nang Tourism Department and Sun Group on June 6, with the aim of launching the ‘Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2022’.
The highlight of the festival will be large-scale music festivals, such as ‘Living like the sun’, ‘Take Me to the Sun’, along with street carnivals and culinary programmes that feature the participation of international art troupes.
These events will be held along the banks of the Han river, An Thuong nightlife, My An night beach and Sun World Ba Na Hills etc.
Most notably, the Vietnam-Japan Festival will feature a wide range of cultural and art schemes, as well as a cosplay contest which will take place during the festival.
Tran Phuoc Son, vice chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, said the large-scale ‘Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2022’ is expected to provide fresh impetus to the recovery of the local tourism industry moving into the post-pandemic period, affirming that the central city remains the leading festival destination throughout Asia.
