Da Nang introduces signature products at airport, luxury resort
VOV.VN - Da Nang has opened a new display space at its international airport and a five-star beachfront resort to showcase nearly 100 locally made products, including OCOP (One Commune One Product) specialties, as part of efforts to strengthen tourism-linked trade promotion.
The "Da Nang Essence" showcase was launched on July 28 by Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade and the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT).
The 90-square-meter exhibition features products from local cooperatives, businesses and producers. Items on display were selected based on product quality, traceability, food safety standards, bilingual packaging and reliable production capacity.
The space introduces a wide range of products, including local specialties, OCOP-certified products rated three stars or higher, outstanding rural industrial products, food and beverages, handicrafts, herbal products and natural cosmetics.
Beyond retail sales, the exhibition also offers visitors opportunities to sample local tea, coffee and specialty foods, participate in workshops, meet local artisans and learn about the cultural heritage and production stories behind each product.
Speaking at the launch ceremony at Da Nang International Airport, Do Trong Hau, deputy general director of (AHT), emphasised that the exhibition space was designed to provide an attractive and modern space that highlights Da Nang's local identity and introduces the city's signature products to both domestic and international travelers.
Displaying local products at the international airport not only expands market opportunities for producers but also creates a cultural and tourism experience, allowing visitors to discover Da Nang's unique identity from the moment they arrive, he said.
In addition to the airport exhibition, the Department of Industry and Trade also opened an 80-square-meter "Da Nang Essence" showcase on the same day at Koi Resort & Residence Da Nang, located at 11 Truong Sa Street, Ngu Hanh Son Ward.
The exhibition venues are anticipated to become trusted shopping destinations for visitors while serving as an effective bridge between local production, trade promotion, and tourism development.
The initiative also reinforces Da Nang's image not only as one of Vietnam's most livable cities and an attractive tourism destination, but also as a hub for high-quality products that embody local identity and are competitive in both domestic and international markets.
