Da Nang City hosts slew of festive events

The central city of Da Nang plans to organise a wide range of cultural and festive programmes along the banks of the Han River at weekends and on public holidays to attract more international and local tourists.

There will be regular events such as street parades with live music and dancing, bai choi (folk singing), and installation arts during weekends along Tran Hung Dao street and at the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.

The annual Da Nang International Fireworks Festival will take place from April 29 to June 30 and the first World Performing Arts Festival on July 1.

The city will also organise cultural performances to celebrate its 43rd Liberation Day on March 29.

It hopes to receive 7.47 million tourists this year.
