Can Tho–Da Lat air route to resume after nearly six years

The service will be operated by VASCO, a member of the Vietnam Airlines Group, using ATR 72 aircraft. Flights will operate daily, before being adjusted to five round trips a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays – in September and October.

According to Nguyen Quang Trung, deputy CEO of Vietnam Airlines, both Can Tho and Da Lat are popular destinations with strong travel demand. Restoring the direct route will shorten travel time, strengthen connectivity between the Mekong Delta and the Central Highlands, and support tourism and economic exchanges.

"Vietnam Airlines will continue to assess market demand to maintain and expand its domestic network, contributing to stronger trade and tourism links between localities," Trung added.

Alongside the Can Tho–Da Lat service, Vietnam Airlines plans to operate seven daily round trips linking Lien Khuong Airport with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang using Airbus A321 aircraft.

The schedule includes two daily round trips between Hanoi and Da Lat, four between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Lat, and one between Da Nang and Da Lat.

Lien Khuong International Airport, located in Lam Dong province, is scheduled to reopen at 00:00 on August 19 after more than five months of closure for runway and infrastructure upgrades.

In recent days, the airport has completed calibration flights to verify its navigation systems, airfield lighting and other technical facilities ahead of the resumption of commercial operations.

New Dong Hoi–Cam Ranh air route to boost tourism links in Central Vietnam
