Bamboo Airways to launch Ca Mau-Hanoi flight

VOV.VN - Bamboo Airways is set to open a direct flight connecting Ca Mau with Hanoi from late April in an effort to meet growing travel demand.

Nguyen Ngoc Trong, chairman of the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways, said Ca Mau Airport will be the destination to complete the Bamboo Airways’ domestic flight network connecting all of the nation’s 22 airports. He revealed initially three return flights will run every week, using Embraer aircraft with a flight time of two hours 25 minutes.

The opening of the air route is expected to cut travel time between Ca Mau and Hanoi, according to industry insiders.

Previously local people wishing to travel to Hanoi had to move to Can Tho International Airport, about three hours away from Ca Mau city, to take a flight to the capital city.

Currently, there is only one return flight running each day which uses an ATR 72-500 aircraft connecting Ca Mau and Ho Chi Minh City.

Ca Mau Airport is capable of receiving small aircraft such as ATR-72, AN-2, MIA-17, KINGAIR B200, and other aircraft with an equivalent payload.
