Australian travel firms to survey tourist attractions in Khanh Hoa

VOV.VN - Representatives from 15 Australian travel firms are set to visit the southcentral city of Khanh Hoa from September 9 to September 12 in order to explore popular tourist sites and experience numerous tourism products and services that Nha Trang city has to offer.

The Australian famtrip delegation, including travel firms from Sydney and Melbourne, are expected to survey tourism services at resorts along the Bai Dai beach such as Alma, Ana Mandara Cam Ranh, and adventure tours at Kong Forest which is considered to be the largest forest adventure tourist park in the country.

Most notably, Australian travel firms are due to meet with Vietnamese businesses to seek co-operation opportunities and attend a gala dinner on September 11 at the Sheraton Nha Trang hotel.

The function will see the province’s travel firms introduce tourism products and services to Australian businesses, while local authorities will also brief them on a number of stimulus tourism schemes being held in the locality.

Currently, Bamboo Airways is operating five round-trip flights each week in Australia on air routes such as Melbourne – Hanoi, Melbourne - Ho Chi Minh City, and Sydney - Ho Chi Minh City, making use of the modern wide-body aircraft Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

According to information provided by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Vietnam represented one of the 10 most favourite places among Australians.

Most notably, the total number of visitors coming from Australia to Ho Chi Minh City reached nearly 300,000 in 2019 and stood at 130,000 arrivals in 2022, thereby accounting for roughly 3.5% of the total number of international visitors to the southern city.

Earlier in May this year a famtrip delegation of Australian tour operators arrived in the coastal city of Nha Trang in the southcentral province of Khanh Hoa as part of efforts to survey a range of tourism products and services at a number of popular tourist attractions and accommodation facilities.

The Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has plans to send a delegation to Australia this October in order to explore the potential of the Australian market and seek further opportunities to strengthen connectivity with foreign travel firms.
