VOV.VN - State President Vo Van Thuong has encouraged the Austrian State of Burgenland to enter into partnerships with Vietnamese localities sharing similarities in terms of economy - society, culture and tourism so as to promote people-to-people diplomacy and mutual understanding between the two sides.

Austrian capital Vienna, with its strengths in tourism, culture, urban management, environmental protection, heritage conservation and restoration, can cooperate with Hanoi and other Vietnamese localities to carry out specific joint activities, thus promoting the overall bilateral relationship, said President Vo Van Thuong on July 24.

The State visit by President Vo Van Thuong and his spouse to Italy at the invitation of Italian President Sergio Mattarella is expected to lift the strategic partnership between the two countries to a new height.

On the occasion of President Vo Van Thuong's State visit to Italy this month at the invitation of Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Antonio Alessandro granted Vietnam News Agency an interview ahead of the visit, expecting that it will contribute to updating the political relations between the two countries and orient their cooperation in all sectors.
