World-renowned driver Russ Swift set for Vietnam return

VOV.VN - British driver Russ Swift, 71, is set to put on a series of exciting shows across three major Vietnamese cities of Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City this October after two years of disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Swift is notable for taking part in more than 8,000 stunt shows in 50 countries globally. In addition, he has won three Guinness World Records for feats such as parallel parking in the tightest space, performing a J-turn in the tightest space, and doing 10 donuts in just  16.07 seconds.

Swift's driving skills were memorably put to the test in 1987 when he performed stunts in a crowded parking lot whilst driving an Austin Montego as part of a television advertisement. Although the close-ups were done by an actor, Swift was responsible for the driving.

Previously, he came to Vietnam to take part in several events, such as the Saigon Autotech and the Vietnam International Motor Show between 2010 and 2017.

This year Swift will hold his first show in Da Nang City on September 24 - 25 before flying to Hanoi for the October 1 - 2 shows and to Ho Chi Minh City for the October 27 – 28 performances.
