VOV to host two national futsal tournaments
VOV.VN - The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) in collaboration with HDBank will host the national futsal championship and futsal HDBank national cup this June and December, organisers announced at a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City on May 24.
A total of 11 teams will compete for the national futsal championship in the qualifying and final rounds from June 1 to November 26 in Lam Dong province and Can Tho city. Among strong teams are Thai Son Nam, Sahako, Thai Son Bac and Sanvinest Sanatech.
The champions and the second-placed team will then receive gold and silver medals, as well as a cash prize of VND500 million and VND200 million, respectively. Both teams will then represent Vietnam in attending the AFC Futsal Club Championship.
Meanwhile, the futsal HDBank national cup is scheduled to take place from December 1 to December 16 in Ho Chi Minh City.
This marks the sixth time that VOV, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), and HDBank have co-organised these futsal tournaments. All the matches are due to be broadcast live on VOVlive channel.
